When I was eight years old, I told my parents I was going to be an astrophysicist.  In first grade, there was a man who came and did little physics demonstrations to our class.  Things like pulling a tablecloth out from under a set table and dipping bananas into liquid nitrogen to show us how they froze.  In retrospect, he was probably a physics grad student.  I was hooked on physics.  The next year, in second grade, we learned about the constellations and how they were connected to Greek mythology.  I got a little postcard with the constellation Cassiopeia on the front and the story on the back.  I knew I had to figure out a way to connect physics with the stars, and so I decided to become an astrophysicist.

Outside of astronomy, you can find me reading, baking, yoga-ing, or singing.  I am also a Jeopardy! champion.
